A studio built for founders who don't have time to figure out design.
Tyla started in 2021 in a co-working space on Victoria Island. The founding insight was simple: early-stage African startups were spending too much time — and money — on brand work that didn't fit their stage. Too corporate, too generic, too slow.
We built a different model. Small team, fast process, honest pricing. Every project is a direct collaboration between the founding client and the studio lead — no handoffs to juniors, no templates with your logo dropped on top.
Process that moves at founder speed.
Start with the founder, not the brief
Every project begins with a 60-minute conversation — no intake forms, no discovery questionnaire. We want to understand how you think about your business, not just what you need from a designer. That conversation shapes everything that follows.
Fast, but never rushed
Most projects complete in 2–4 weeks. That's not a timeline we stretch to — it's the rhythm that keeps thinking clear and decisions fast. We don't drag projects out because timelines are how studios pad invoices.
One direction, built properly
We present one considered direction, not three options designed to overwhelm. We've done the thinking — if we've done it right, you'll recognize it immediately. If we've missed something, we refine it together.
Small by design.
We stay small so every client works directly with the people who run the studio.
Brand strategist and designer with 8 years across Lagos, Nairobi, and London. Believes brand is a business problem first, a visual problem second.
Interaction designer and front-end developer. Builds sites that are as considered as the brand system they live in.
Writes brand voice, naming, and copy. Believes the words are half the design.
We're accepting projects for Q3 2026.
Limited spots. Real conversations.
